6-Week Courses & Individual Training
Puppy SocializationGetting puppies together in an organized environment to socialize them with other puppies and reward positive behavior. We often utilize equipment such as chutes, tunnels, wobble boards, teeters, etc).
The puppies will play and have fun!

They do not stay "puppies" for very long...
Obedience (Separate Courses for Each Level)This class is open to any age dog and covers basic skills such as "sit", "down", "stay", "heal", "come". Higher levels of obedience teach more advanced tasks.
Rally Obedience (All Levels)Rally obedience is sport in which the owner and dog compete on a designed course to complete the course with as few mistakes as possible. There are stations in the course that have obedience directions. Rally develops bonding and teamwork between owner and dog. There is no requirement to compete in events in order to take this class.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) (All Levels)This course is designed to prepare your dog for the CGC test. It is a good step between obedience and therapy dog. The dogs enjoy this class and become welcome anywhere! We also offer Advanced (CGCA) and the "Urban" CGCU.
Official AKC Evaluations
We provide official testing once a dog is deemed by the owner to be ready for testing for official AKC titles:

Agility
This class is beginner agility for students and dogs.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility)This is a basic class for puppies under the age of 12 months to learn some basic positive behaviors that are important for puppies to learn at a young age. Upon successful completion of the course, the owner is issued a certificate by the American Kennel Club (AKC).Please visit akc.org and search "S.T.A.R." to learn more.
Trick Dog (All Levels)This class utilizes clicker training and other positive rewards to teach fun tricks. Dogs love learning new tricks and results in bonding. This is a helpful class for dogs that may be learning skills for ADA service dog, especially for individuals with mobility issues.
Handling ClassThis class is not a 6-week course. It is as needed, week to week, upon reservation. It is specifically for owners & handlers of show dogs or potential show dogs that need practice. It is also is a good class for inexperiencd dogs that need ring practice.
Therapy Dog Training
This course is designed to prepare the dog and owner (Therapy Dog Team) for working in therapeutic settings either as a tool in therapy sessions, or, as a Therapy Team in schools, hospitals, treatment centers and other venues that have the need for Therapy Dog Teams. This is a preparatory class, not an evaluation situation.
Service Dog Training
This course is designed to teach tasks that service dogs might need to perform for their owners. It is focused mainly for people with mobility disabilities. Some tasks might include picking up keys up off of the floor, pulling owner out of a chair, wearing a mobility harness for owners that need stability while walking.
*We do fully train dogs for ADA service work with our board & train clients, depending on our availability. We focus on tasks for individuals with mobility & stability issues.
